The demands of the community have not changed. Public safety must pass SB5035 and authorize localities to establish independent civilian review boards with subpoena power. Board members must be ELECTED, rather than appointed, and must EXCLUDE law enforcement officers, elected officials, and their family members.

Public Safety committee must pass SB5017 to ensure we have mechanisms for Commonwealth oversight of immigrant detention centers.
