I oppose the bill. John's Hopkins and Rep. Hope claimed that they were basing this policy off of data - data shows that: 1) over 50% of gun deaths in VA occurred in just 9 places; 2) violent crime is HIGHLY correlated with poverty.
It is no surprise then, that restricting poor people and minority access to gun rights leads to less crime. This bill does nothing to solve poverty, the actual motivation behind violent crime -- and instead is a bandaid solution that restricts the rights of the poor and minority groups.
