HB226 - Omitted taxes; installment agreements.
Last Name: Sprague Locality: Alexandria

Unless these bills tax the rich, I’m not interested!

HB258 - Nonjudicial sale of tax delinquent real properties; unimproved properties w/in urban redevelopment.
Last Name: Neil Organization: City of Portsmouth, VA Locality: Hampton

The City of Portsmouth supports this initiative.

Last Name: Bateman Organization: Virginia First Cities Coalition Locality: Richmond (City)

The Virginia First Cities Coalition (VFC) is supportive of HB 258. For the last 9 months, VFC has stood up a member-driven Housing Access Committee that has been looking for specific tools to assist our 17-member urban cities with affordable housing. HB 258, if passed, will be one such valued tool. In a good news, bad news story, the real estate sales market in many of our cities has significantly driven up the value of vacant lots. Raising the value threshold will support and facilitate the revitalization of our city's vacant and abandoned lots and will be an aid to the continued revitalization of our cities, as well as increase housing supply and access.

HB262 - Land and improvements; classification for tax purposes.
