✅Virginia LCV encourages you to OPPOSE HB305 HB 305 (Ballard) Gas tax; allocating revenues from tax to certain localities for improving secondary roads. This Legislation Would: Instruct the CTB to award 50% of regional fuels tax dollars that go to the District Grant Program to improving or maintaining secondary roads. Secondary roads are critically important but this proposal would arbitrarily limit funding for other types of projects (such as urban roads and transit in certain geographic areas) in some areas with significant needs for these projects. Reasons to OPPOSE HB305 -- The SMART SCALE transportation funding prioritization process was unanimously called for by the General Assembly, has been reviewed annually by the Commonwealth Transportation Board, and a year-long review is nearing conclusion. -- HB305 would put a thumb on the scale for certain projects in certain geographic areas.
HB135, 305, 424 are excellent. Please move to report. The only issue I have with HB811 is that all folks need to pay their way someway. Stop taxing the shrinking middle class: they're going broke paying for too many programs when they made the right choices. Penalizing them is NOT the way to grow Virginia. Its why our young folks are leaving.

Please vote NO on the proposed amendment to recall the Virginia Gentleman (Lee)license plate. Lee was one of Virginia's finest sons and deserves his place in our history. Removing him from this form of admiration does absolutely nothing to bring us together as citizens of the Commonwealth. In fact, it serves to divide us even further. Where does this erasure stop?

I am George Mahone, I own and operate Skimino enterprises LLC towing, I am President of the Hampton Roads Towing Alliance, and I am the Legislative Committee Chairman for the Virginia Association of Towing and Recovery Operators. I am in favor of this bill as is the HRTA and VATRO. we believe it will allow DMV to use another tool to get the out of jurisdiction leans processed in a much more timely manor. I will offer a example I have a car in my lot totaled from a wreck this past summer. The owner just left the car and it has been in DMV lean process since the middle of last summer and DMV still has not cleared this lean process so I can get this car out of my lot. If we had this change I could have presented them with a transcript from AUTO Data Direct for the owner and lean holder. Please report this bill out of your Committee. Thank you for your time.
Virginia Towing Association of Towing and Recovery Inc. ( VATRO ) and Battlefield Service Center both support this bill. It will make it easier to help the DMV system process, of the vehicle owners and lien holders information. For better and exact notifications to the legal parts in a more timely matter. This change also will help and should speed up the necessary process. Thank you all for your help in this matter.
