SB176 (VanValkenburg) The League of Women Voters of Virginia supports SB 176, which is identical to the companion bill, HB630. All jurisdictions should have the permanent option to use ranked choice voting in elections for their local governing bodies. They would also receive from ELECT statewide standards and procedures for conducting RCV elections and standards for tabulation software and equipment, along with educational materials for voters.
