This is a responsible and good legislation. Easements as you know bind landowners to legal agreements and are done so for many reasons including conservation such as wildlife habitat, forest stewardship and wetlands preservation. We are also burdened by utility easements and are still taxed for land that we have access to, pay taxes on, own and are limited in use due to the power lines or underground utilities.
This relief would incentivise landowners to do more Conservation and watershed protection.
