Opposed any Bill that allows citizens to smoke weed, cannabis, marijuana. Shameful policies by government officials who don’t care about people. https://www.foxnews.com/health/daily-weed-smokers-higher-risk-heart-attack-stroke-american-heart-association-study

OPPOSE IT: We do not need to see this stuff around our neighborhoods, shops, malls, grocery stores, and homes. I see students middle and high school on up idolizing this and then get hooked on the drug. We know enough about the negative side affects of hemp on the body and brain. Stop being like the other liberal States: Colorado, Cali, Illinois, NY, ... Now more and more medical physicians and even teachers are reporting to me that students are coming in class wrecking of it on their clothes. Elementary age!

I am Nate Miller. Virginias first and only professor of cannabis at PVCC in Charlottesville. The highly suggest the passage of this bill because it will stop the confusion and make a clear distinction between hemp industrial products and recreational products. My classes are in the workforce department. I have several students looking to enter jobs and start careers in the industrial hemp sector. This bill would allow them to create and or apply for those future jobs and careers. There are over 250,000 products that can be made from industrial hemp. It would boost Virginia's economy, create opportunities for small businesses and benefit small farmers. All of this directly benefits the state. In closing for the sake of my students, small businesses and farmers across the state and to ensure a new major industry emerges please pass this bill.

This bill makes a lot of sense to me. Male and female cannabis plants are different and have different intended uses. This bill makes that distinction and enables the majority of the benefits that hemp provides to start to be realized by separating grain and fiber crops from other types of cannabis. Please support this bill and help reduce the strain on an emerging eco-friendly market that already has enough challenges getting started. Thank you.
